People from all walks of live gathered at the reflection pond at Houston City Hall to remember a tragedy Houston, as well as the rest of the nation, will never forget.

Straights and gays alike braved a hot humid night to remember the 49 people whose lives were tragically cut short last weekend in Orlando.

The emotion was visible on many faces during the 90 minute service.

The crowd listened intently to city leaders and community activists condemn the shooter's actions.

The candlelight vigil came on the heels of a disturbing tweet that now has the attention of Houston police. That tweet stated,"There will be a massive shooting at the pride parade in Houston Texas." An HPD spokesman says the department is aware of the tweet and is looking into it.

On Monday the police department announced there will be a beefed up police presence at the city's gay pride parade on Saturday June 25th.
