HPD responding to an officer involved shooting in northwest Houston

HOUSTON (FOX 26) - Houston police investigate an officer involved shooting that left one man dead.

Police got a call at about 7:30 Monday night of a noise complaint in the 2600 block of Mayview Drive. When they got to the scene a man was listening to music loudly in his truck. Police say that man drew at gun at an officer, at which point the officer fired. The suspect was taken to Ben Taub hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police Chief Art Acevedo says the officer was wearing a body camera at the time.
