HOUSTON (FOX 26) - As with previous weather-related crises in southeast Texas, Houston TranStar serves as the command center throughout the evolution of Harvey. Staff have been working around the clock for almost a week as they monitor water levels on roads, bayous and creeks.
Employees were presented with an adorable surprise when the Houston SPCA brought dogs to visit the group.
The dogs will be available for adoption once the Houston SPCA facility is fully operational again. The shelter was not damaged by Tropical Storm Harvey nor by any flooding related to the storm system.
