Houston Texans fans react to NFL Draft picks


Outside NRG stadium fans lined up waiting with excitement for the Houston Texans 2018 NFL Draft picks.


"This is what we live to do, we have to show our support, this is what we look like on game day, why not on draft day", says fan Mike Blansett.


Many discussing their hopes for the upcoming season.


"I'd like to see O line but its anybodies game at this point", says fan David Cruz.


Steven Clayton says, "I think we need a safety and we need a few other players for the offensive line".


“We have to go with the safe pick first, the wide receiver first, that’s what we need”, says Alfredo Lopez.


For many it was their first time back inside the stadium since the season ended. So the fans wore jerseys and prepared to hear the teams three, third round selections.


"There is a lot of excitement about the team this year, certainly have some players that will be coming back that a lot of fans are excited about and we are very active in free agency, we have an opportunity to build our team through the NFL draft, it's an ongoing process, always trying to get better, it's a very competitive league and the goal is to win a championship", says Jamey Rootes.


The Texans chose Stanford safety Justin Reid, Mississippi State’s offensive tackle Martinas Rankin and tight end Jordan Akins from the University of Central Florida.


“That’s awesome, it’s great, I’m excited, I’m thrilled and I’m looking forward to when the Dallas Cowboys”, says fan Victor Vargas.


“I think they got good selections, I think they are going to be really good this year, it’s going to be an awesome season, I’m ready for it to start, Houston Texans let’s go”, says another fan Joe Ramirez.


Rounds four through seven of the draft will take place Saturday.
