Houston singer DeCory Brown wows on 'Showtime At The Apollo'

Singing his new single titled "Wait A Minute", DeCory Brown, 14, is doing anything but that right now, because the brakes aren't slowing down for Brown and his new career. The star performed on Fox's "Showtime at the Apollo" on Thursday night and won the episode.

“We were in the back of the audience at the time, and I think that applause started at the back of the house and kind of moved towards the front of the house,” says his aunt Yunaka Baham.

"They started applauding ,at first I was like 'oh'. I thought they were like booing me for a little bit. But then I was like 'ok' when it came into my brain and started resonating I was like 'ok, ok, now they are applauding me,'” says DeCory Brown.

He even sat down with friends and family to relive the night, while it aired on live TV. Brown says, "it feels awesome. I actually won. I mean it’s like mind blowing to actually have it in your mind that the greats have stepped foot on like the exact same stage that I just want on.”

Brown has appeared on FOX 26, the Isiah Factor Uncensored and across stages throughout Houston, so everyone is wondering what's next for the newest singer in the spotlight.

“I just want to make music for the rest of my life my life, hit music, and just entertain people for the rest of my life,” says Brown.
