HOUSTON, Texas (FOX26) - With a 3 to 3 tie in the American League Championship Series at the beginning of game 7, Astros and Yankees fans were feeling pretty competitive.
Some decked out in jerseys and orange attire, while others brought posters.
"He's the best one, number 27, my birthday is on the 27th so", says Cesar Escobedo of his Jose Altuve fathead.
"So this says I literally love Justin Verlander and Jose Altuve and that's from Jose's interview from yesterday", says Lucas Barclay of his homemade sign.
Many bought tickets last minute when at the end of game 6 to Astros beat the Yankees 7 to 1.
"It was a last minute thing, I didn't think it was going to be all the way to game 7, but when we went to yesterdays game and they won, first thing we did was look for tickets to come here", says Escobedo.
Others beat traffic to sit outside and watch the game at Lucky's in East downtown Houston. All cheering for the Astros to make it to the World Series.
"We are the strongest bats in all of Major League Baseball baby and it's time, its time for us to go, we are due", says Reji Thomas.
