Houston Astros giving away more replica rings on June 20
HOUSTON (FOX 26) - Fans who couldn't get their hands on one of the Houston Astros World Champions replica rings given away earlier this month have another opportunity.
The Astros say due to the overwhelming popularity of the rings, all fans in attendance at the Houston Astros game against the Tampa Bay Rays on June 20 will receive a replica ring.
The first round of replica rings were handed out to the first 10,000 fans in attendance at the Houston Astros game against the San Diego Padres on April 7. Fans lined up starting early Saturday morning to be first in line for one of the rings. Soon after, some of the rings were going for hundreds of dollars on eBay.
The replica rings look similar to the ones the players received. One side of the ring says "Houston Strong". The other size says "Earned History". The front features the Houston Astros logo.
