Harris County deputies are asking for the public's help in looking for a hit and run driver who left a teenager in critical condition.

The driver hit 17-year old Josh Blevins near Treaschwig and Cypresswood in Spring, and then left the scene.

It happened between 9:00 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. on Monday night when Josh was walking home from McDonald's where he works as a manager.

Police say the truck used in the accident is probably from the Spring area.

A witness described the vehicle as a dark-colored, 4-door pick-up truck, lifted with oversized tires and featuring a full bed. The truck's four tail lights are said to be white, not red. The witness also recalls a red bar on the top of the back window.

it should have damage to the front right of the truck, and is missing the front right headlight.

Josh was taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital via LifeFlight with multiple life threatening injuries.

His aunt, Charlene, says Josh has brain swelling and is bleeding on two sides. He also will have have his hip repaired. His injuries will require several surgeries.

At last check, Josh was awake and in a lot of pain.

Josh's family has started a Go Fund Me page to raise money for his medical care.

Charlene tells FOX 26 that Josh was a full-time student who was working toward becoming a Marine.
