HOUSTON (FOX 26) - It was a pretty quiet day on the campus of Texas Southern University as the school observed the Martin Luther King holiday, but what they didn't expect was water flowing out of Hannah Hall. The water leak came from the hot water heater in the building, FOX 26 News has learned. It left university administrators scrambling to hire contractors to dry up the mess.
Texas Southern University spokeswoman Eva Pickens says because of the leak, the office of the president and Human Resources department have been temporarily relocated to another building on campus. It's not clear what caused the hot water heater leak.
What is clear there is plenty of damage even though school administrators say they have not determined an official dollar estimate as of yet.
