Lynelle Cantwell, a Canadian schoolgirl, wrote a powerful response after someone in her school made a list on Ask.FM of the ‘Ugliest Girls in Grade 12 in HTH’.

Rather than letting the bullying get to her, Cantwell expressed how sorry she felt for those who felt the need to make the list in the first place.

“I’m sorry that you’ll never get the chance to know the kind of person I am. I may not look okay on the outside...But I’m funny, nice, kind, down to earth, not judgmental, accepting, helpful, and I’m super easy to talk to,” Cantwell wrote, acknowledging similar traits in the other girls whose names were placed on the hurtful list.

“Just because we don’t look perfect on the outside does not mean we are ugly,” Cantwell also said.

Her inspiring post has since been shared more than 2,200 times since it was first posted on December 1st.
