A seven-year-old boy in Fort Bend County is recovering tonight after being shocked. According to Harris County deputies, the boy was in the Lakes of Bella Terra subdivision in Richmond.

Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner is calling on the State of Texas to deny a licensing permit for a proposed child residential facility on Emancipation Avenue. He believes it will be used to house immigrant children separated from their parents.

Today in the Terry Thompson murder trial, jurors saw the now infamous video of the fatal fight outside a Sheldon restaurant. The man who shot the video told jurors he debated getting his handgun.

Sixty accused child predators are off our streets after a three month operation by the Houston Police Department. Those arrested include a former Houston police sergeant, a Dayton ISD teacher, and a former Harris County deputy.

A disabled veteran is trying to get about $30,000 back that he paid to a contractor after Hurricane Harvey. The veteran said the contractor did shoddy work then disappeared.

The family of Santa Fe ISD Officer John Barnes shared a picture of Barnes giving a thumbs up. Barnes was seriously wounded in last month's school shooting.
