Former President George H.W. Bush is in the hospital. He was admitted to Houston Methodist Sunday morning, the day after his wife Barbara Bush's funeral. A spokesperson said an infection has spread to Mr. Bush's blood.

An estimated 30,000 jobs are coming to Houston thanks to the creation of a new research center at the Texas Medical Center.

A Harris County Precinct 4 deputy constable who was shot while responding to a call last Tuesday said he's thankful for all the support. Deputy Christopher Gaines is home with his wife and daughter tonight.

A mother is accused of setting her car on fire with her three daughters inside at a car wash in south Houston. Police said Ana Ester Segovia tried to force the girls to stay inside the burning car. They managed to get out.

Barbara Bush's gravesite is now open to the public at the George Bush Presidential Library in College Station. A long line of people waited outside this morning to pay their respects.

The VA and United Way teamed up to throw a group baby shower for female veterans. The VA is working to be more accommodating to female veterans.
