The family of a man, who was electrocuted while trying to rescue his sister's cat after Hurricane Harvey, filed a lawsuit on Tuesday. Andrew Pasek was wading through high waters in the Bear Creek subdivision with his friend when he came in contact with an electrical current from a light fixture.

A 4-year-old boy was shot at a southeast Houston apartment complex while he watched TV in his family's apartment. Investigators said two groups were fighting and began shooting toward each other.

A Cub Scouts den leader in Fort Bend County is charged with two counts of indecency with a child. During a news conference on Wednesday, Sheriff Troy Nehls said an 8-year-old girl told her mother that 52-year-old Clifton Ray Poe touched her inappropriately on more than one occasion.

A woman is accused of stealing more than $200,000 from a Fort Bend County youth hockey league. Sheriff Nehls announced that deputies have arrested Interscholastic Hockey League treasurer Michele Bernier.

Three Houston-area companies said a con man has stolen hot tubs from them. They said the man used fake forms of identification and had the hot tubs sent to the same vacant home.

With only six days left until the May 22 primary runoff election between retired Navy Seal Dan Crenshaw and Texas State Representative Kevin Roberts, there's been a major development. Two influential Houstonians have stepped forward to back Crenshaw.
