- "Little Jacob" was laid to rest on Friday, more than eight months after the 4-year-old boy's body was discovered on Galveston Beach. Police were able to uncover his true identity as Jayden Alexander Lopez in June.

Houston police said a man was involved in a deadly vehicle crash in west Houston, then stole a tow truck and led officers on a chase that ended in Sugar Land.

A workplace accident in Porter killed one worker and sent another to the hospital on Friday morning. Four people were working on a water tower when a steel panel fell on the workers inside the well.
