Accused serial killer Jose Gilberto Rodriguez, 46, is being held at the Harris County Jail with no bond. He's been charged with two counts of capital murder and a third charge is pending.

Parolees like Rodriguez are committing some high-profile crimes in the Houston area. Houston Police Department Chief Art Acevedo wants to crack down on parole violators.

A man accused of killing a woman who has been missing for three weeks appeared in court on Wednesday. In court documents, authorities said Alex Haggerty shot, stabbed and drugged Brittany Burfield. 

Authorities are warning parents that pedophiles are using the live streaming video app Live Me and apps like it to sexually exploit children.

Police are investigating after several violent home invasions within a 24-hour period.

Joggers in Fulshear came across a 7-foot alligator in Cross Creek Ranch on Wednesday morning.
