Hundreds of parents are trying to determine where their children will be educated after a Houston-area charter school suddenly closes following fire code violations and suspended funding from the Texas Education Agency.

There's a sense of relief in the Katy area after a man accused of randomly shooting at female drivers is back behind bars.

Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner is remembering Hurricane Harvey and honoring two city employees who lost their lives on the way to work during the storm.

Saturday is election day in Harris County. Residents will vote on a $2.5 billion bond aimed at fixing flooding problems.

Sunday, a year and a day after Harvey made landfall in Texas, the Wortham Theater Center will welcome patrons back for an open house event. 

A driver is in custody after leading law enforcement officers on a half-hour chase from Chambers County into northeast Harris County. Deputies believed the driver was impaired and tried to stop the vehicle.
