HOUSTON (FOX 26) - He's home! Former President George H.W. Bush has returned home to Houston after spending the summer at his seasonal home in Kennebunkport, Maine.
President Bush had an eventful summer escape from Houston, sadly following the funeral of his wife, former first lady Barbara Bush, who died in April at the age of 92. They were married for 73 years.
President Bush celebrated his 94th birthday on June 12 at his Kennebunkport home, eight days after he was released from a Maine hospital where he was treated for low blood pressure.
After a very special summer in Maine surrounded by his big, loving family, the 41st President today arrived back home in Houston and is preparing to launch Operation Shock and Awe @Astros fortified in the near future by some proper #TexMex.— Jim McGrath (@jgm41) October 12, 2018
When his granddaughter Barbara Bush, 36, married 37-year-old screenwriter Craig Coyne at the family's compound in Kennebunkport in early October, former President George H.W. Bush watched as his son, former President George W. Bush, walked Barbara down the aisle.
