Fight outside Spire nightclub leads to car striking man, shooting

After a downtown Houston nightclub closed to the public at 2 a.m. Thursday, several people were involved in a fist fight which resulted in even more violent acts.

Police say three men who were involved in the fight were in a Toyota Corolla when the driver rammed the car into a crowd of people, which struck one man  and threw him onto the hood and windshield. The car also crashed into a pole.

Another person in the crowd fired a weapon toward the Corolla. When the driver and passengers tried to travel away from the parking lot, a Houston Police Department patrol car stopped them and officers determined two of the three men were wounded, one of them in the eye and the other one in the leg. Both of those men were taken to a nearby hospital.

Police are searching for the person who fired the weapon.
