"She's very very saddened about it because she loves children," said Neville Allen referring to his 29-year-old daughter Nakita.

Allen says he hasn't really been able to talk to his daughter about the deadly crash.

Nakita Allen is a teacher and was on her way to school Tuesday morning.

Police say she made an unsafe lane change and struck the HISD school bus causing it to go off the overpass and onto the road below.

"It's not easy to know that someone sends their child out in the morning and they're never going to return again," Allen said.

Allen says he rushed to the scene after Nakita called him about the accident.

"She was in the police car at the time she wouldn't do much talking she was in more need of comforting she was crying all the time," Allen said.

"At that time we only knew that one was dead,"Allen said. "We didn't know about the other one."

Allen says his thoughts are with the families of the two students who died in the crash.

"I'm very sorrowful for the parents who lost their children," Allen said. "Two are gone they'll never come back."
