The family of Jesse Estrada Sabillon, 60, and his 68-year-old wife, Maria, tell FOX 26 News that police have confirmed an arrest in the street racing crash that killed the married couple. When Alexis De LaRosa Sosa surrendered to investigators at 7:30 a.m. Friday, he had visible injuries and was evaluated by emergency responders.

Investigators say Sosa hid in a wooded area until he surrendered on Friday.

"We don't hate you," said one of Sabillon's relatives during a Harris County Sheriff's Office news conference on Friday. "We thank you for turning yourself in."

A pickup truck crashed into the side of the BMW car that Jesse and Maria were in on Tuesday night on Bammel North Houston near the Sam Houston Tollway in northwest Harris County. The driver of the truck had been racing with the person who was driving a Dodge Challenger or Charger.

The driver of the truck, 21-year-old Mexican national Alexis De LaRosa Sosa, ran away from the accident scene.

Jesse Estrada Sabillon was a carpenter and pastor of a small Baptist church. He and his wife died while returning home after visiting their niece who had just given birth to a baby boy.

The Harris County Sheriff's Office says a 19-year-old driver turned himself in on Friday. Authorities did not immediately say what charges the man will face over Tuesday night's deadly wreck.

Authorities say the suspect was believed to be driving a pickup truck that ran a red light and hit a car not involved in the racing. A man driving the car and his passenger died at the scene.

Investigators say two men in another vehicle , allegedly racing with the truck, stopped to check on the victims but then sped away.
