Family and loved ones pay their final respects to "Little Jacob"

Family and loved ones paid their final respects to "Little Jacob" Jayden Lopez on Friday afternoon at the La Paz Memorial Funeral home in Houston. The 4-year-old's body was discovered on a Galveston beach last October.

Last month, Galveston police announced a break in the "Little Jacob" case, of unidentified boy discovered dead on Galveston Beach last year.  Detectives charged two women in connection with the death of a 4-year-old boy, who was discovered on a beach last year. In a police press conference on June 20, investigators identified the child as Jayden Alexander Lopez from Houston.

Detectives say they arrested Jayden's mother, Rebecca Rivera, and her girlfriend Dania Amezquita Gomez, who also both live in Houston. Rivera was charged with felony tampering with evidence and is currently being held on $250,000 bond and Rivera's girlfrend, Gomez was charged with misdemeanor tampering with evidence. Investigators believe both women were reportedly present at time of Jayden's death, held on $100,000 bond.

Police say that Rivera and Gomez live in Houston, but drove to Galveston to reportedly "dump" baby Jayden.  Investigators say that the tips leading them to the break in the case came after the real photo was released. The tip reportedly came from someone who knew the boy and family.

Investigators say that no one involved has been charged with murder yet, and no cause of death has been released.
