HOUSTON, TX - Police say that a woman was driving her pickup truck southbound on Garth Rd in Baytown last night. She reportedly was driving at a high rate of speed, when she slammed into the back end of a black car that was stopped behind a red car that was stopped to turn left into a Shell gas station.
Her pickup truck smashed into the black car which was shoved into the red car, and both cars reportedly spun around. The red car hit an SUV that was in the northbound lanes waiting for a green light. Police say that the woman in the pickup truck was not hurt and she was found to be intoxicated. She was arrested at the scene. There were three females in the black car the pickup struck, and they all were pinned inside and had to be extricated by the fire department.
One of the three females was in serious condition and was taken by Life-flight to Hermann hospital. The other two were taken to the hospital by ambulance in stable condition. There were two males in the red car and both of them were taken to the hospital in stable condition. There was one female driver in the SUV and she was taken to the hospital in stable condition. In all six adults were transported to the hospital.
