59 dead, 527 injured in mass shooting in Las Vegas

Tonight we're trying to understand how a man can take so many lives and harm hundreds more. Americans who were doing nothing more than enjoying a concert. The gunman, Stephen Craig Paddock, fired into the crowd of 22,000 people from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Hotel. Tonight in Las Vegas, the death toll stands at 59 with 527 injured. 

Paddock is a 64-year-old retired accountant from Mesquite, Nevada who also once lived in Texas. Federal investigators say Paddock had no ties to ISIS or any other known terrorist group and his motives are not clear. Paddock killed himself before officers stormed into his hotel room.
