Stephen Duxbury, the security guard accused of murdering 27-year-old Sasha Samsudean, made his first appearance before a Volusia County judge Saturday morning.
The judge decided to not set bond.
Duxbury will remain behind bars until his next court appearance which the judge said should be in 7-10 days.
Orlando Police arrested Duxbury, an apartment security guard, for the murder of a 27-year-old woman Friday.
Police say 33-year-old Stephen Michael Duxbury who was a security officer at the Uptown Place apartments sexually battered and murdered Sasha Samsudean on October 17.
Friends of Samsudean told police she returned home after a night out and didn’t return their calls the next day.
Officials say she was reported missing and found dead the following day.
