Deputy Buys Tires for Douglas County Woman
DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ga. - A Douglas County mother of two said she is beyond thankful for a deputy who went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure she and her children are safe.
Two deputies were helping Ashley Kilgore install car seats when they noticed that her tires were almost bald. She told the deputies she didn't have money to replace them.
Deputy Jeff Dunkin ended up buying Kilgore four used tires, but her good fortune didn’t stop there. When the owner of the company installing the tires discovered what the deputy was up to, he upgraded the purchase to new tires.
Kilgore said she is overwhelmed by the generosity of the Douglas County community.
