Deputies seek identity of man who allegedly tried to abduct Cypress teen

The Harris County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help identifying a man who allegedly attempted to abduct a teen in Cypress on October 15.

Deputies say a 16-year-old female was walking through the Coles Crossing subdivision at the intersection of Closewood Terrace Blvd and Ashland Landing Drive on October 15 around 4 p.m., when a black Ford F-150 pulled up and stopped in front of her. According to HCSO, the driver exited the vehicle and asked for directions before ultimately raising his shirt to expose a large knife and threatening her with death if she did not get in the vehicle.

The girl complied fearing for her life but was able to later flee from the vehicle when it stopped, deputies say.

The subject is described as a heavy set, middle-aged white male, with short brown hair, a clean shaven face and a deep voice.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
