Two Wisconsin deputies helped save a pair of bear cubs from a flooded den in the Ashland area Friday afternoon.

Ashland County Sheriff's Deputy Jon Pillath posted a photo and video of the encounter.

Pillath said one is a girl and the other is a boy. The male weighs 5.5 pounds, while the female weighs 4.4 pounds.

Wild Instincts, a wildlife rehabilitation center, told authorities that after the girl spent time in the incubator, she is finally coming around. They are hoping for a full recovery and to release them into the wild in the fall.
