Cyclist struck and killed on Veteran's Memorial in NW Houston

HOUSTON, TX - Deputies are looking for a driver who hit and killed a cyclist overnight. Investigators say a small car, possibly a Dodge Neon struck a man on a bicycle on Veteran's Memorial in Northwest Harris County. The driver drove away without any attempt to stop. The cyclist was taken to a nearby hospital where he died.

Another man riding alongside the victim says they were riding on the shoulder of the road at the time of the accident. The witness said the car drifted onto the shoulder. Officials don't think this was intentional,  but they are checking out near by businesses for surveillance cameras as they try and gather more evidence.
