CROSBY, Texas (FOX 26) - The Crosby Independent School District released the following statement on its Facebook page:
We want to make you aware that anonymous threats have been issued to 9 students at our middle school. CMS administration is actively investigating the situation and contacting the parents of those students affected. We realize that the end of the school year can be a time of pranks but we take every threat to our students’ safety seriously. CMS staff is on high alert for any suspicious activity .
Due to this threat and typical end of the year activity, we are increasing security on our secondary campuses. Please have your students keep their backpacks and large bags at home next week. All books have been turned in so they may bring their binders or review materials for finals. Any students involved in a disciplinary infraction that affects the safety of other students will be addressed accordingly.
Parents of graduating seniors, please advise your child to finish their year appropriately. It is very disheartening to us to have to deny the graduation ceremony to any student. Thank you for your support and cooperation. The safety of our students is our highest priority.
