HOUSTON (FOX 26) - The Harris County Attorney is going after a southwest Houston strip club described as a thorn in the side of the community. Vince Ryan's office has filed a civil lawsuit against Wonderland Men's Club on Hillcroft Avenue.
The county attorney's office says the club has become a haven for violence and crime. Investigators say there have been 65 incidents over a two-year period at the after hours venue including a shooting that left a Houston-area rapper hospitalized in February. Assistant County Attorney Celena Vinson says the office is asking a judge to order the club owner, as well as the property owner, to clean up the business or face closure for a year.
FOX 26 News has not been able to reach the owner of Wonderland Men's Club.
