Coast Guard medevacs woman from cruise ship off Galveston

A 30-year-old woman was medevaced  from a cruise ship 10 miles east of Galveston on Thursday evening.

The Carnival cruise ship Valor reported to Sector Houston-Galveston that a woman had injured her head after a fall aboard the ship and needed medical assistance.

An aircrew arrived on scene around 7 p.m. The woman was hoisted from the cruise ship and transported to the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. The Coast Guard says the woman was reported to be in stable condition.
