Clerk shot during robbery in northeast Houston

HOUSTON (FOX 26) - Houston police are looking for a man who shot a clerk while robbing a convenience store in northeast Houston.

Police say around 5:15 a.m. on Sunday, the man walked into a Valero on Hirsch Road and demanded money.

Detectives say the clerk handed over cash but the robber still shot him at least twice before he ran off.

Detectives aren't releasing the surveillance video right now but say it did capture some key clues.
