The Fort Bend County District Attorney's Office has filed documents to have charges dismissed against a 14-year-old high school student, FOX 26 News has learned.

You may remember Alec Hunter said he found what turned out to be a fake $10 bill at school and he tried to use it to buy lunch. Despite Alec not knowing the money was a counterfeit, he was charged by the juvenile justice system.

Fort Bend County District Attorney John Healey tells FOX 26 that the evidence was not sufficient to move forward with a case against the high school student.
