Female burglar stuck in chimney gets arrested

Deputies assigned to the Harris County Sheriff's Office north patrol district were called to a residence in the 4400 block of Spring Stuebner in north Harris County.

Spring Fire department and Cypress Creek Emergency Medical Services, responded to a 911 call of a 20-year-old female now identified as Lauren Fox, stuck in the chimney of the home.

Deputies learned the defendant tried to enter the vacant home by lowering herself down the chimney, but became stuck.

Firefighter and rescue personnel dismantled the chimney to free her.

She now has been charged with criminal trespass of habitation.


A reported burglar is stuck in a chimney on the 4400 block of Spring Stuebner at Cricket Drive in Spring. The person is female and had been stuck for an unknown amount of time. Eventually, she used her cell phone to call for help. It took an estimated 4 hours to complete the rescue. The condition of the woman is unknown.
