Bronx-Lebanon Hospital shooting victim identified as Dr. Tracy Tam

The victim killed during Dr. Henry Bello’s shooting rampage at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital shooting has been identified as 32-year-old Dr. Tracy Sin-Yee Tam.

That doctor killed grew up on a quiet, tight-knit street in Jamaica, Queens. She's being remembered by her grieving neighbors for being friendly, quiet, studious, and someone who'd never cause harm to anyone.

Pat Vicencio has been living here on 167th street since 2000. He's known his neighbors, 32-year-old Dr. Tracy Sin-Yee Tam and her family, since he first moved in. He was in absolute shock to hear the young doctor's tragic fate.

He and other neighbors told Fox 5 Doctor Tam lived in this home with her parents and sister. She was known for coming and going in a little red Corolla and had a bright future ahead of her.

“I’m very devastated and shocked. They’re a quiet family, and I know she just got her degree,” said neighbor Alena Khaim.

Dr. Tam was one of 7 victims shot. 5 others are in stable condition and one person remains in critical condition.  Tam wasn't even supposed to be at work the day of the shooting- she's normally in the hospital’s satellite clinic, but was covering someone else's shift on the hospital floor.

The shooter, Doctor Henry Bello, walked right into Bronx-Lebanon Hospital, where he used to work, with a rifle tucked under his lab coat. Two years ago, he was forced out of the hospital amid sexual harassment allegations.

He sent this email to the Daily News two hours before the rampage -  blaming the hospital for ruining his medical career. Part of email reads: "the hospital terminated my road to a licensure to practice medicine."

It's still unclear if Bello was shooting randomly or aiming at certain staff members. Either way - it brings no closure or healing to the victims or their loved ones. Here on this street, neighbors are making it very clear, their beloved Tracy, will never be forgotten.
