HOUSTON (FOX 26) - UPDATE 2/9: The teen has been identified as Mike Delfin. His brother reported that he and his mom discovered Mike this morning after someone called them said that they had left Mike "sleeping at that spot." The brother believes Mike may have been hanging out with people there the night before. Mike's brother last saw Mike before school on Tuesday morning. He stated that Mike had previously dropped out of Northbrook High school, so he did not attend. The medical examiner says that there no signs of trauma, and his death is currently under investigation.
Police are trying to determine what caused the death of a boy whose body was found behind a northwest Houston church.
Officers arrived to St. Jerome Catholic Community on Kempwood Drive near Hollister Road at around 9 a.m. Wednesday in response to a report of a body found behind the church building.
The body of the 14-year-old male was found by the church baseball field. He was reported missing on Tuesday. There were no signs of trauma on the body, but the death remains under investigation.
