HOUSTON (FOX 26) - While people across the country were looking up at the eclipse today, families in the Greater Houston area were staring into the faces of their newborn babies.
Memorial Hermann released photos of newborn babies at hospitals across the Houston area sporting shades on eclipse day.
"While many people were staring upwards at the brightest star in our solar system, new parents were looking down at the bright, shining additions to their families! These eclipse-day babies are pictured sporting sunglasses to commemorate the day." Memorial Hermann wrote in a release.
Of course, the babies didn't actually view the eclipse with the sunglasses. They were just used to showcase their bright futures.
"Don’t be blinded by their cuteness! The staff at Memorial Hermann knows their futures are so bright- they needed shades!"
