Astros exhibition game brings in crowds before home opener

From head to toe Astros fans were decked out as they packed inside minute maid park for the very first time and the very first exhibition game, since the team won the World Series. “My shoes and my socks I just bought them right now”, says Ruth Quintero.

 Some got the opportunity to take a picture with the trophy while others bought replicas of it. 
The Rodriguez family even traveled all the way from Mexico. “I came from Monterey so it’s about 7 hours, I’m so excited because I’m a super fan of Altuve so I’m so excited to see this game", says Pearla Rodriguez.

Family showed off their tickets before going inside. Speaking I've if you're wanting to buy some before the home opener or next week in general, you are going to want to think fast.

“Folks have been very excited about this opening day tickets have been at an all-time premium they sold out in minutes and we do still have some tickets for game two at home for when they get the rings but I suspect that’s probably gonna be a sell as well”, says Reid Ryan.

The team will be wearing gold jerseys though be champion décor out and new banners out pass left field. Reid Ryan says, "we are going to unveil those banners one being the banner from 2005 when we made it to the World Series in the National League and then obviously the World Series championship 2017 banner”.
After opening day the team or return to town for the home opener on Monday.
