Arrest made in death of 8-year-old League City girl

As the sun set Sunday night fellow students, softball players and friends of Kelsey Nalepa joined outside Ross Elementary School in League City.

"It's just amazing", says Nicole Gerber who is a family friend.

The fence outside the school was covered with reminders as to how much Kelsey was loved.

"She was always running around and being happy and friendly", says Gwen McCorpey who came out with her family.

Friday morning Nalepa died following complications from a car accident that happened along 518, just blocks from where she went to school.

To show the family support, those that knew her came out for a memorial.
.
"They are such a sweet family, I hate for this to happen", says another family friend Renee Stormer.

As a prayer was said, candles were lit, honoring the little girl. "Our hearts are broken and we pray for them", says Gerber. "Our hearts are broken, we are feeling sorry and we are praying everyday for them", says McCorpey.
