HOUSTON (FOX 26) - A judge has denied bond for the man charged with capital murder in a stabbing outside of the Galleria.
Thirty-five-year-old Andre Roy appeared in probable cause court Saturday night.
Investigators say there’s surveillance video showing Roy attacking and trying to rob a 61-year-old man.
It happened Thursday night on the sidewalk outside Neiman Marcus.
Witnesses tried to intervene, but police said that Roy had already stabbed the man. Security guards arrived quickly at the scene and found a knife in Roy’s pocket. The victim later died.
Roy is expected back in court again on Monday.
Police are looking for a driver who ran over hit a man standing in the cul-de-sac of an apartment complex and then took off.
It happened on Bellwood at Ranchester in southwest Houston. Police say the driver of the white cargo van was trying to get away from someone in another car when he plowed into a group of people, pinning one man under the van. He’s in the hospital in serious condition.
The driver also slammed into a wooden electrical pole, snapping it in half.
