A Mississippi man who was already in jail has been indicted for the murder of Jessica Chambers, who was burned alive in a Dec. 2014 attack that made national headlines.
After the gruesome murder, family members said that the 19-year-old was doused with a flammable liquid and set on fire along a remote road.
Quinton Tellis, 27, was indicted on capital murder charges yesterday at Ouachita Parish Jail in Monroe, Louisiana.
Officials said there was a relationship between Tellis and Chambers in the weeks before the murder. Surveillance video surfaced showing Chambers at a gas station in Panola County shortly before her murder.
