The recall involving Takata Corporation airbags continues to grow.

- Just days after U.S. Regulators announced a recall of 5 million vehicles with the potentially defective Takata airbag, Ford is recalling almost 400,000 pickups.

The recall is specifically for 2004-2006 Ford Rangers. The driver's air bag inflators can explode with too much force and cause injuries or death. The government announced that a South Carolina man was killed when an inflator in his 2006 Ranger exploded in December.

Ford says it will send letters to owners about the recall starting the week of Feb. 22. Although it has some replacement parts available, the company is working with air bag makers to make additional inflators as soon as possible.

The other recall, on a much smaller scale,  is for the Chillafish Childrens' bikes.  Chillafish is recalling 29,000 balance bikes  because over inflated tires could crack the rims.  The company has 19 reports of this happening.  Sam's Club, Amazon.com,  Target and Toys R Us sold the bikes. Contact Chillafish for a free repair.
