A woman dies in hit and run accident and a 2 alarm fire puts 8 families out in the cold

- Houston police are looking for a driver, who ran over a woman pushing a shopping cart, and then kept going.

It happened in southwest Houston around 10:00 P.M. last night on Bellaire near Ranchester.

The woman died at the hospital.

The police need the public’s help on this one, right now they are still working on a description of the car.

 

Arson investigators are working this morning on a 2 alarm fire that forced eight families out in the cold last night.

Firefighters arrived at the apartment building on West Gulf Bank in northwest Houston to find heavy flames coming from the second floor.

A couple of the units burned, while others suffered smoke and water damage. No injuries have been reported.
