HOUSTON (FOX26) - The man charged in the shooting of a Houston police officer appeared in court today for the first time since the shooting.
The judge raised Shelton Hearld's bond to 150 thousand dollars.
Investigators say Hearld shot officer Jason Rhodes when the officer confronted him and a juvenile trying to rob a store in north Houston.
Hearld is charged with aggravated assault of a police officer and felony possession of a weapon.
Officer Rhodes is recovering from a gunshot wound to the arm.
