HOUSTON (FOX 26)
A toddler found dead in a Brookshire hotel room was last seen alive on Thursday night.
The manager of the hotel told us the family said they came from Austin.
Some of the next door neighbors said that there were three children living in the hotel room with the mother and her boyfriend, and that the children were often outside without proper clothing for chilly or cold weather.
Law enforcement tells us that the family has a history with CPS. A Waller County Justice of the Peace pronounced the child dead and said that there were no clear signs of trauma to the body.
The Harris County Medical Examiner will determine the exact cause of death.
Hotel residents say the other two children are now in the custody of child protective services.
