Hospital's laid off employees receive bounced checks

- Dozens of laid off employees of a Spring-area hospital are left with bouncing payroll checks as Christmas approaches.

Those workers reached out to our Isiah Carey to get them some answers. This comes after Spring Central Hospital went bankrupt and was shut down on December 8.

The employees say they're owed anywhere from three to four weeks of pay by the hospital's founder Dr. Mustapha Kibirige.

Octavia Taylor says when she tried to deposit her last payroll check it bounced.

We also contacted K&S Consulting. A Houston company that managed the medical facility before it went into chapter 7 bankruptcy.

The CEO told our Isiah Carey the bankruptcy judge has agreed to release enough funds to cover their payroll but he did not give a timetable for when that would be done.
