Four people were hurt following an explosion reported at Moore Rod and Pipe, confirm Humble police. Officers arrived to the facility on Indiana Street at around 12:52 p.m. Tuesday. Of the four people who were injured, one was treated for injuries at the facility and then released. The other three injured employees were taken to nearby hospitals, although police say none of the injuries appear to be life threatening.
Executives at Moore Rod and Pipe, a plastics extruder facility, say a machine spewed liquid plastic on the affected workers.
The Harris County Fire Marshal's Office Hazardous Materials team is investigating the accident.
