- A 16 year old boy is in the hospital after what police call an accidental shooting. It happened in northwest Houston. Police say the teens were in an upstairs apartment, playing or looking at guns when the boy was shot in the chest. He was taken to the hospital and may be paralyzed. Officers recovered three weapons from the scene.

 

A teenage girl, who jumped from a moving bus in Texas City, has died. The Galveston county medical examiner’s office confirmed the 13-year-old girl's death.

            Monday, deputies say she got into an argument with another student on the bus that was leaving an alternative school a nd jumped out of the bus while it was moving about 55 miles-per-hour.

 

 

One of the more visible protesters during last year's unrest in Ferguson, Missouri, has been sentenced to eight years in prison.

            Joshua Williams was convicted of burning a gas station during demonstrations, following a deadly police shooting in a nearby town.

            Williams was also part of protests in the Michael Brown shooting.

 

Three astronauts will soon be back on earth after spending 141 days aboard the international space station. The crew sealed the hatch on their Soyuz return module this morning. They will arrive in Kazakhstan later today. The trio will be replaced by an American, brit and Russian.
