HOUSTON (FOX 26) - A 4-year-old boy was killed after a car crashed into a utility pole on Little York Road near Seneca Street in northeast Houston. The boy was taken to Lyndon B. Johnson General Hospital where he was pronounced dead. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
Police arrived to the site of the reported accident at around 7:40 a.m. Monday.
The woman who drove the orange Dodge Caliber was traveling east on Little York Road and bypassed a red light at the intersection with Homestead Road. The car hydroplaned off the roadway and struck the pole. The driver was taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital in an unknown condition. Three other child passengers in the car were taken to Texas Children's Hospital with injuries determined not to be life-threatening.
No charges have been filed in the accident case.
