4-foot metal pole pierces windshield on North Freeway
A 4-foot metal pole pierced the windshield of a vehicle on the North Freeway, narrowly missing the driver.
It happened on the North Freeway Southbound near FM 1960 around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.
According to deputies, an 18-wheeler initially hit the pipe, then a second car hit the pipe causing the pipe to go airborne, and the pipe then went through the passenger side windshield of a third vehicle.
The driver of the vehicle that the pipe pierced was treated for minor injuries from the breaking glass.
The second vehicle had a blown out tire from hitting the pipe.
